Stub Length High Speed Steel Deburring Tools
While the E-Z Burr Stub Length HSS deburring tool is designed to deburr very small parts with “Live Tooling”, it can also be used on all materials and all limited space applications such as in Screw Machines.
A Specialty Tool Made Standard
This stub length deburring tool started as a custom tool that we designed for a Swiss Screw Product manufacturer in which it received rave remarks. After rigorous testing on other applications and materials and complete satisfaction with our results, we are proud to offer them as stocked items.
Fitting In
The hole diameter available range is from .093” through .236.” The tool itself is only 2.82” OAL with only 1.25” sticking out of the collet. This prevents any interference with the work-piece in the limited space available, and works perfectly where a standard length deburring tool would not fit.

Getting It Done
This deburring tool was designed for those impossible-to-access tiny holes. They can become a real bottleneck in the manufacturing process and can drastically slow your production. With the Component Micro Series, those hard-to-reach holes can be easily deburred.
Designed for Efficiency
This 3-component design is comprised of a tool holder, a solid arbor and a high speed steel blade. The key advantage is that you can replace the solid arbor without changing the blade, and you can change the blade without replacing the solid arbor. The replaceable blades can be more cost effective as compared to our Standard Micro Series cartridge style tool. Each holder and arbor, along with the blade has a dedicated, individual hole size range.
Potential Applications
Industries who may benefit from the Component Micro Series include the electronics industry, gun manufacturer, medical, and dental. These tools are used on all materials and can be run in a CNC or a hand drill.

Patented for Efficiency
E-Z Burr’s Micro Series offers a patented two-piece construction consisting of a convenient cartridge (with arbor & blade) and a holder. All cartridge sizes fit into the one standard holder, you just clamp it in with a setscrew and you’re deburring small holes instantly. You can also replace the cartridge in seconds while the micro tool is still in the spindle, so you won’t have to handle or lose any miniature parts. In addition, you can deburr hundreds of micro holes before the cartridge needs to be replaced. While we always recommend using the holder, you can also just simply hold onto the .156” diameter brass cartridge sleeve.

Unique Design
Our Small Hole Carbide deburring tools feature a carbide insert attached to a HSS flex arm with a precision fit. This unique design requires no mechanical fasteners. The carbide segment is attached to the flex arm in a one-piece construction that allows it to be changed while the tool is still in the machine.
Tough & Difficult = No Problem
We also offer a variety of coatings and geometries to handle a range of cutting conditions from good to difficult. Standard Length Carbide Deburring Tools
If you need a deburring tool that is fast, E-Z Burr’s patented carbide deburring tools will meet your needs. With speeds and feeds at least three times faster than regular HSS, our carbide deburring tools with take your efficiency to the next level.
Deburring Rockstar
E-Z Burr’s carbide deburring tools offer the same tool steel body as our HSS tools, however, the carbide blade stays sharper up to five times longer than HSS blades. It also deburrs tough and difficult materials that HSS blades may not be able to handle.
Patented Design
The coated carbide inserts (TiN or TiALN) are height adjustable and replaceable while the tool is still secured in the machine. A great deburring tool for production runs, heavy burrs, harder materials, and exotic alloys.
Meeting Your Needs
We also offer a variety of insert geometries to match the demands of your application. With more aggressive cutting angles, combined with the TiAIN coating, this tool will provide excellent results, especially in those tough and difficult materials.
Please Take Note:
Although E-Z Burr’s Carbide and HSS deburring share a similar design, they are not interchangeable. The Carbide Series has a distinct insert pocket made to the precision tolerance of the insert. This pocket has been designed to minimize the potential for chips or sludge (cast iron) or any other foreign material to clog the performance of the deburring insert.

Standard Length HSS Deburring Tools
E-Z Burr’s standard length high speed steel (HSS) deburring tools are the industry standard for quick, effective and consistent front and rear burr removal.
Built for Strength
By designing the blade to operate without springs and plungers, the flexible blade and solid shank offer optimum performance for deburring metal or plastic materials.
Saves Time and Money
The Standard Length HSS deburring tool also allows you to change cutting blades and chamfer settings from very low to very high without removing the tool from the holder. Once your desired chamfer is set, it won’t change even from blade to blade resulting in less downtime and higher production.
Tough and Reliable
The inherent toughness of E-Z Burr HSS deburring tool makes it a great choice for batch runs or in a production environment when a reliable, stable performance is required. It is also the best choice when limited spindle RPM or horsepower is available, or when using a hand-held drill.

With our custom made precision chamfer tool, we mount a fixed pocket chamfer insert to the body of our deburring tool, which generates a precise chamfer. Our deburring insert will collapse into the arbor, pass through the hole, and deburr the rear of the hole. At the same time, the fixed pocket chamfer insert will engage the front of the hole to produce your desired precision chamfer. Our precision chamfer tool is also designed to allow you to change the inserts and make a rear chamfer adjustment while the tool is still in the machine.

We also offer Deburring Cartridges that can be built into the body of a drill or boring tool for quick change-out while the tool is still in the machine. The rectangular cartridges drop right into the pre-milled trench in the body of the tool.

While the E-Z Burr Stub Length Carbide deburring tool is designed to deburr small parts using “Live Tooling”, it can also be used on all materials and applications, and runs up to 3 times faster than our HSS blade style tool.
The patented Carbide tipped blade is a one piece design, easy to change, with 4-5 times the tool life of our HSS version.
No Interference
The Stub Length Carbide deburring tool offers a unique design in which the size of the entire tool is 2.82” OAL with only 1.25” sticking out of the collet. This allows it to fit in to any limited space without interference from the work-piece. In addition, the Carbide tipped blade offers faster speeds and feeds and stays sharper longer than HSS.
Fast and Easy
As with most of E-Z Burr’s patented deburring tools, the stub length carbide tool blade is as easy to change as the HSS version. The one-piece Carbide tipped blade slips in and out of the slot without having to handle a tiny carbide insert.
With no springs or plungers, the cutting height adjustability is a breeze.
