Since the launch of the first ProPak Asia show in Singapore in 1984 the show has developed into becoming one of the most effective vehicles for buyers and sellers to meet in one location. The steady growth of the event since its move to Bangkok and its resurgence following the Asian crisis of the late 1990’s provides a platform for future development.

At the heart of South East Asia’s processing and packaging industries ProPak Asia is the annual meeting point where new and current projects are discussed and relationships developed.
The show in Bangkok is built around the growing needs of the ASEAN economy, serving a market of more than 600 million people across ten countries. The show increasingly attracts a worldwide audience looking to tap into Thailand’s know-how and technology. The event specifically focuses on the processing, filling and packaging needs of the food, seafood, confectionery, brewing, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, healthcar and cosmetics industries.
ProPak Asia 2010 is Asia’s definitive event for international manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, technology and materials in the sectors of packaging, filling, processing, quality assurance, test and measurement and their related fields of automation, transportation, storage, refrigeration, ingredients, labeling and pollution control. ProPak Asia last year attracted 29,600 trade visitors from 63 countries with key Asian buyer concentration from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, India, Myanmar, China, Indonesia and the Philippines. It was estimated that the show generated sales of an estimated US$100 million, with post-event trading rounding up the sum to more than US$ million. ProPak Asia hold’s significant strength in the food, drink and pharmaceutical sectors and in 2010 will continue to focus on its primary development sectors on brewing and beverage technology (DrinkTech Asia), pharmaceutical technology (PharmaTech Asia), plastic materials, moulding and processing equipment (PlasTech Asia) and laboratory and test equipment (Lab & Test Asia). ProPak Asia 2010 is expected to welcome international participation from ten national groups and independent exhibitors from up to countries. Buyers are expected to exceed 30,000 trade professionals as business and investment continues to rise in Asia.
